Modestine Raliniaina

Dr Modestine RALINIAINA is a veterinary researcher specialised on Biology of Microbial and Parasitic Interactions (PhD), Head of the Zootechnic, Veterinary and Fish Research Department (DRZVP) within the National Research Institute Applied for Rural Development (FOFIFA / CENRADERU) in Madagascar and responsible of the Parasitology Research Unit. She teaches parasitology and supervises students at the University of Antananarivo, Faculty of Medicine, Veterinary Mention. She has worked on ticks and tick-borne diseases in cattle, particularly on the vector transmission of heartwater and the molecular characterization of its etiological agent. She conducts research on the risk factors of the main parasitosis and abortive zoonosis affecting ruminants in Madagascar.
